LIVING A PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE (IS YOUR LIFE YOURS? — LIFE METAPHOR)

Rick Warren in his bestselling book,THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE, explains in one of the chapters what he called - Life Metaphor.

He said that life metaphor is the way an individual picture life and how this picture informs his values, relationships, goals and priorities.

According to Warren, if a man see life as a party, his primary goal will be having fun.

If he sees life as a race, he will value speed in all he does, and probably be in a hurry much of the time.

If he views life as a marathon, he will value endurance.

If he views life as a battle or game, then winning is all he care about.

The Life Metaphor theory broadly explains the individual differences between people.

A lot of people think, life is all about fun, some speed, some endurance, other winning. They tie all their lives to seeing that that happened without minding the consequences. There is more to life that those things listed.

God, our creator, sees life as A TEST; A TRUST; and AN ASSIGNMENT.

It is something so valuable that an account for how it is spent will be demanded (whether we agree or not).

If we see life the way God sees it ( as a test, trust and assignment) a lot of carefulness will be attached to how we spend it.

 OUR LIFE IS NOT OURS.

A day will come that the giver of it will demand for an account of every second we spent.

BE POSITIVE!
BE VALUABLE!
TRADE CAREFULLY!
YOUR LIFE IS A GIFT!
