DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER.

I entered a bus this morning heading to my place of work, at some point the driver stopped to pick two extra passengers who happened to be a fine girl and a cute handsome young man, (when i say cute, i mean a kind of cuteness that gave the vibe of a young doctor with lens and smart dressing). And luckily for me, they both sat beside me. 

As it is my thing to admire fine guys, i had this "awwww, he is so finee, God can create" thoughts in my mind. I turn to look at the girl he came in with, "could this be his girlfriend or sister? I thought, "she is cute too".

As the journey processed, another woman beside me asked the bus conductor for her change. The bus conductor, still focused on finding passengers, only looked at her and continued calling the location the bus was heading to.

The woman became very worried. She started complaining about being in a similar situation where a bus conductor forgot she gave him money and made her argue to prove herself. In order not to experience such ordeal again, she kept nagging the conductor for her change. As a concern person, i tried to calm her down by saying, "he will attend to you ma, he is just busy right now" 

Then a voice that shocked the life out of me came; a masculine pidgin mixed with a deep igbo accent, "na so this conductors dey do, if you allow dem na, your money ko go, hold am oo." 

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, i was forced to turn. To my surprise and disbelief, it was one of my favourite people in the bus. THE CUTE SMART GUY. I was dumbfounded. I was not expecting such accent from him. I mean don't get me wrong, my first impression of him was someone with this "polish fake accent ", not... My likeness died a natural death (don't judge! Am human and i have the right to like what i like and hate what i hate😏) 

This short experience, however, taught me again never to judge a book by its cover. Its better you get to know someone before you draw your conclusions about them cos all that glitter may not really be gold.
